Elizabeth
Owen was born in Munster, West Germany, on
June 6, 1970. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1995. She
is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court,
Western District of Texas and the United States Tax Court. Elizabeth
graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas, with a B.A. in 1992.
She graduated from the University of Texas School of Law, receiving
her J.D. in 1995, with honors.
After graduating from law school, Elizabeth worked for the Office
of Chief Counsel, I.R.S. for the years 1995 through 2001. Elizabeth
joined
the firm in 2002 and is an associate with the firm, practicing primarily
in the areas of wills, estate planning and probate, guardianships,
real estate, and general civil litigation.
Elizabeth is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Austin Bar Association
and the Bastrop County Bar Association (serving as Vice President in
2003 and President in 2004). She is on the board of directors of the
Elgin Education Foundation and currently serves as its Executive Vice
President and is the President-elect for 2009. Elizabeth is on the
board of directors of Bastrop Abstract Company. She is also a member
of the Elgin Kiwanis Club and a basketball coach for the Elgin Basketball
Association.
Elizabeth is married to Oskar Nisimblat and they have two sons: Jack
and Babe. Elizabeth’s favorite pastimes include running, reading,
and beach vacations. |
